Stonewall Self-Help Support Group Rules

Welcome to Stonewall Support Group. We're a free, self-help support group for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered adults who are out of high school and are 18 years or older. This group is led by volunteer Stonewall members, not hired mental health professionals.

1. Honor everyone's right to confidentiality and have made a commitment to keep what is said in group within the membership of the group. Please be advised that our statement of confidentiality does not apply should someone refer to harming themselves or others.

2. Show respect for the person sharing by listening and allowing the speaker the time to finish without interruption.

3. Refrain from the use of foul language and explicit talk about sex or sexual acts.

4. Turn off any cell phones or beepers, or put them on vibrate.

5. Respect everyone's different place in the coming-out process. This group is not about outing anyone.

6. Respect each person's right to decide when, or if, they wish to speak.

7. Remember that our focus in this group is to be on support..
